27 THINGS I GUESS I KNOW // No 22: APOLOGISING IS CLASSY

A simple and very underrated lesson I have learned is that apologising is classy, and when offered without solicitation, is pivotally meaningful to the recipient. THE APOLOGISER: Demonstrates maturity, culpability, and a desire to personally ameliorate someone else’s feelings. It’s a grown-up thing to do, and it’s what makes you the Nick Carraway to Daisy and […]

27 THINGS I GUESS I KNOW // No 20: PEOPLE WHO DO A GOOD JOB SHOULD BE TOLD SO

20: People who do a good job should be told so. At the very least. It’s just good form. It doesn’t need to be an over-the-top presentation, just be complimentary and give credit where credit is due. That’s all I have to say about that.

IT’S BEEN A HELLUVA YEAR FOLKS

Well despite 2013 being relatively unsuccessful from a blogging standpoint, I’ve got to admit that in reality it’s been one for the books.   I am so excited to show you all this little project I was working on during my time in Germany. Working for the Church has many perks, and this was just the cherry on top. How else could a freshly graduated English major slip into the role of Editor in Chief and Head Graphic […]

IT’S 2013 AND I GUESS I’LL BE OPTIMISTIC ABOUT IT

Happy new year! I brought the new year in by myself, for the first time in my life. And it was kind of awesome so don’t feel sorry for me okay? While you were dancing your feet into swollen bruises, head pounding with too-loud dance music that you’d never choose to listen to yourself, eating […]

HEAR HEAR

This is the most agitating feature of all existence, if you ask me: people who use YOUR incorrectly.  Also, people who can’t figure out the right usage of there/their/they’re.  Most people I associate with are over the age of 10, so this should NEVER HAPPEN.  Just take ten minutes out of your life to get […]
