Chapter 39, Alma’s commandments to his son Corianton. Alma counsels him to turn away from iniquity and repent and to prepare for the coming of Christ.
Alma 37: 41
“Nevertheless, because those miracles were worked by small means it did show unto them marvelous works. They were slothful, and forgot to exercise their faith and diligence and then those marvelous works ceased, and they did not progress in their journey;”
Rachael D: The scriptures are a Liahona in my life. Alma tells Helaman that he must keep all of the records clean and bright. He explains the power contained in them to bring the Lamanites to the knowledge of Christ. If we have faith then the liahona will tell us where we should go and this miracle can happen daily. If we don’t we won’t progress on our journey. Alma says we should give heed to the word of Christ as this will point us to eternal bliss.
