What would it have been like to be there at this time and hear the words of these precious children? Are there things today that we can learn from the “mouthes of babes”?
The Savior once again quotes Isaiah and reminds us of the importance of this Old Testament prophet. Zion and her stakes will be established and the covenants made to ancient Israel will be fulfilled. He points out missing scriptures and quotes the words of Malachi regarding the second coming, tithing, the vital importance of family history, and the return of Elijah. The mouths of babes are opened and He expounds all things from the beginning to the end.
3 Nephi 26:14
“And it came to pass that he did teach and minister unto the children of the multitude of whom hath been spoken, and he did loose their tongues, and they did speak unto their fathers great and marvelous things, even greater than he had revealed unto the people; and he loosed their tongues that they could utter.”
Rachael D: 3 Nephi 23 stood out to me where Christ asks to see the records and asks why they haven’t written some of the experiences down. I started thinking about my personal history/ journal writing and if I have recorded experiences I’ve had that will be of benefit to my family.
