It was the first time my parents had physically checked one of their boys in to the Mission Training Centre. It was a pretty raw experience for them, I could tell. It was kind of raw for all of us I guess. Mostly because Connor’s all of our favourite; we all had a hand in raising him- there’s a piece of all of us in him, and we all watched him turn into a man overnight, seemingly. I think of all of us, he appreciates most what family is and does and can be- at least that’s what he teaches me.
